Complete resection

Malignant tumors of the lids (nodular basal cell carcinoma, morphea type basal cell carcinoma, Meibom carcinoma, Spinal cell carcinoma, Merkel cell tumor, Melanoma) need to be resected completely. The complete resection can only be secured by controlling the histology of the tissue margens. The histopathologic analysis needs to be able to identify the area, where the specimen had been excised. According to the micrographic Moh's technique, specimens of all areas that surround the tumor are sent separately to histopathology. After all margins are proved to be free from tumor cells, we can begin to reconstruct the lid.
